Divorce and Family Law Cases

Texas family law governs divorce, support, and property division. Texas is a community property state, meaning most marital property is split equally.


  • Residency requirement: Either spouse must have lived in Texas 6 months, and in the county 90 days. 
  • Support: Child and spousal support calculated per statutory guidelines.
